Afghanistan: 10 security personnel killed in Taliban militant attack
New Delhi: Taliban terrorists attacked Afghanistan police and security bases on Monday, in which 10 security personnel were killed.
Five officers, including the commander of the reserve force Abdul Hakim, were killed in an attack near the capital of Kadhe-e-Nau, Badghis province.
Provincial governor’s spokesman Jamshed Shahabi told that in the firing from about 22 Taliban militants were killed and 16 others were injured.
Meanwhile, police chief of Baglana province Ekramuddin Serih told that the Taliban fighters attacked the joint army and police base.
It killed three army officers and two police officers. He said that four other security forces personnel were injured in this attack in the Baglani Marak district.
Serih said that the base is now under the control of the security forces. Kumk has been sent in the district. At least 20 Taliban fighters have also been killed in this attack.
